COVID-19 Event safety measures (updated)
Creating a Safe Event
At Lakefest our priority remains the safety of our customers, staff, traders, artists and volunteers. We follow all instructions and regulations of the local authorities and current government guidelines and regulations. In line with recent changes to government guidance, our safety measures have changed from July 19 as outlined below.
In England, face coverings are no longer mandatory from July 19, in line with recent government guidance. However, we are encouraging all event attendees to wear face masks if they wish to do so. This is your personal choice and we leave it to your discretion.
We continue to implement a number of social distancing measures across the event site in line with local government guidelines. Such measures include moving from our much loved and iconic main stage tent to an outdoor main stage. We also have a number of outdoor socially distanced bars and enjoy the luxury of a large open space allowing people to move and camp at safe distances.
We will be providing a number of hand sanitising stations as well as increasing the number of toilets on site.
All employee and customer toilets will continue to be stocked with anti-bacterial hand soap, and stringent handwashing guidelines will remain in place for all employees to supplement our current personal hygiene policy.
Our already high cleaning standards will continue to be enhanced by a cleaning programme designed to clean and sanitise the high touch points within the festival.
We want to make the event as safe as possible which is why we have partnered with tested.me for voluntary testing before the event. We encourage everyone to take part, it’s simple free and can all be done from home via an app prior to the event. Get started here.
TRAINING & PPE
All staff will receive a specific COVID-19 briefing and PPE will continue to be provided to staff where the risk assessment has deemed it necessary, in line with government requirements.
Tickets for Lakefest 2021 will be digital reducing the handling of paperwork upon entry.
In 2019 we moved to a cashless system using RFID technology built into your wristband. We will use the same technology again for 2021 but with an improved network making the event safer and easier for everyone as well as removing the handling of cash.
We look forward to seeing you soon, for more information please take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions here.
