Update: 15/06/2021 ‘Got a feeling’
Lakefest August 12-15 2021
At Lakefest HQ we listened, as no doubt everybody did, to Boris: and we heard, as no doubt everybody did ‘July 19th’.
And we believe. And we’ve got a feeling.
We believed already, and for that reason we have not let up in our preparations for our 2021 event.
We’re ready.
The decision to delay our total freedom, is sound and although it hurts us as we have other events that we must now cancel or move backwards: we see the sense.
It is clear that festival goers feel as we do, because our ticket sales have not once let up since we relaxed, in part, from lockdown 3. It is obvious that you believe too.
Our heartfelt commiserations to those event organisers who have watched all of their hard work come apart at the seams, and Lakefest this year will set it’s sails in tribute to all of the wonderful gatherings that have been swept from the calender. Come and pay tribute with us.
Join Tom Jones, Seasick Steve, Echo and the Bunnymen, Razorlight and the host of talent we have assembled for you, under the watchful eye of Eastnor Castle and help us celebrate the return, for all of us, to some semblance of sense and normality.
We are, today, releasing our last tranche of tickets and when they are gone, they are gone. This years event will be one that no one will be able to forget, and to help ensure that: we have one last surprise to announce.
We’ve got a feeling that you’re going to like it.
Watch this space.
In the meantime we give the last words to Lennon and McCartney:
Lakefest director Lee Martin has been singing a Beatles classic, ‘I’ve got a feeling’ non stop and atonally, since the announcement. He’s paraphrased, perhaps just a little, but you know what he means…and so do we.
‘Everybody had a hard year, everybody saw the sunshine, everybody pulled their socks up, everybody put their foot down’
Oh yeah.

Update: 29/05/2020 Lakefest 2020 can now no longer take place but will be back in 2021!
As a grassroots independent festival we say this with great sadness but it has become clear from talking with local authorities and monitoring the global crisis caused by COVID-19 that it would be unsafe for us to deliver Lakefest in August. The health and well being of the Lakefest family including customers, staff, vendors and the local community is our utmost priority and it would be irresponsible of us to go against advice and wider trends in the events industry. However it’s not all bad news, when the gravity of this situation was apparent we set in motion our plan B which was to postpone until next year with an improved line up and entertainment. After a lot of hard work we are excited to announce that Lakefest 2021 will take place on the 12th – 15th of August.
We have been working closely with Eastnor Castle and all the artists and performers booked for August and are pleased to say that we can reschedule for August 12th – 15th 2021. We have a few changes in the line up with the exciting additions of Razorlight, The Magic Numbers, and New Model Army joining us next year with another huge headliner soon to be announced. As you can imagine the crisis has had a big impact on the music industry and unfortunately Gentleman’s Dub Club, The Boomtown Rats and Starsailor cannot do the dates for us next year. Check out our new poster below! (statement continues below)

We want to take this opportunity to thank the thousands of people who have bought early bird tickets showing their faith and loyalty in Lakefest and for your understanding and patience leading up to this point. We are delighted that so many of you have reached out to us to say you are happy for your tickets to be rolled on to next year which gives us the confidence to continue planning for the future.
If you have already purchased tickets then they will automatically roll over to next year, or, if you are unable to attend you will be able to request a refund. If you are thinking about requesting a refund then we ask you to consider the financial impact this will have on Lakefest and it’s future viability. Although the event won’t be going ahead this year we have still paid for 9 months of planning, staff, marketing and many other costs leading up to this point.

Update: 21/04/20
We hope you are all keeping safe and healthy during this global crisis. We know there are questions about this summers event. We are still waiting on local authority and government advice, which has been minimal at best.
As a result we currently cannot confirm if Lakefest 2020 can go ahead or not.. Our team hasn’t stopped working since last August and we are hoping more than anything to celebrate another year in the sun with you, the Lakefest Family.
As soon as we have more to say we will announce via social media, our newsletter and contact all ticket buyers directly via email. We love you all; thank you so much for your support, patience, and understanding in these challenging and uncertain times for everyone.
Lakefest is a collective family and when we all finally reunite we will be stronger and more grateful for each other than ever before.
Until then…
Lee and the Lakefest Team x
Update: 13/03/20
Here at Lakefest HQ, we are following developments regarding the Coronavirus very closely.
As things stand and given the nature, location and size of our event, we are working hard to deliver Lakefest 2020 as planned.
We are hoping that five months from now, we will all be enjoying another fantastic family festival, coming together under the shadows of Eastnor Castle, and moving, once again, to the beat of the Lakefest drums.
In the unlikely event of being forced to change our plans, you should know that we are well-equipped in contingency planning, with alternative arrangements lined up. Information will be communicated clearly, in a timely fashion, and all tickets sold will be honoured.
We will continue to keep you informed with news and updates from us. You can find these on our website and on Facebook and Instagram.
With love, the Lakefest team
